Grace in crisis

Master's benevolent Grace pours on all of us, even though we fail sometimes to recognize this fact. After the event passes, we come to know that it was but His Grace that helped us to come out of that critical situation.

Not far off, I had to face a critical situation.  At that time my practice, I mean meditation, etc was not regular.

Some years back, my elder daughter, Siri Chandrika had a critical health problem. My daughter became too weak to get up on her own. She was unable to consume even liquid spoon feeding. Two spoons of juice feeding was also not possible, as she used to vomit immediately thereafter. She became too week to walk. She was to be hospitalised.  She was admitted in hospital. Every day doctors used to visit and used to prescribe innumerable tests. Daily blood samples used to be collected. Her hemoglobin level came down drastically, nay almost negligible ..say 4. At that time, her weight loss was significant. Doctors failed to find out her disease and they used to prescribe tests after tests, including tests relating to her brain.

We were all worried about her health. She remained in hospital for 3 weeks. I became scared and contacted a private physician and requested him to cure my daughter. After knowing symptoms from me, the doctor told me that that disease could occur to one person per lakh and that the disease was incurable. I was stunned to hear his reply and prayed to Master for help. At that time I thought I could sell away even my house if my daughter could be cured.

Next day, I got an idea to get her discharged from hospital. I talked to the doctors who could not find out her problem even after 3 weeks to discharge. They warned me that they could discharge her on my request but she couldn't be readmitted and that the discharge was at our risk.

Next day we took our daughter to another Hospital. There, a specialist Doctor examined my daughter. He asked us to make our daughter sit on floor and asked her to get up. She was not able to stand. The doctor advised a tablet for 3 weeks and firmly said that she would stand up on her own. I explained to him that I was prepared to private treatment, however costly that treatment could be. The doctor told us that she could be cured through the prescription and would be able to stand up on her own on 21st day.

We returned home and exactly on 21st day my daughter called us from bathroom, saying that she could stand up on her own. Everyday, my wife used to go to bathroom and help my daughter stand up. Coincidentally, my elder brother, Shri CSR Murty was present in our house when for the first time after 2 month my daughter could stand up on her own.

What else could be there other than Master's Grace that we could come out of the most critical crisis. Thanks to Master for saving us in most critical situation.

I cannot undermine the courage displayed by my daughter during those 21 days she had to spend in GTB hospital. Her tiny mind had to resist death news and disturbances on daily basis. She bore these events with a strong will and faith on our beloved Master.

Also, my spouse showed exceptional bravery to face such a crisis especially when our financial position was too weak. She served relentlessly and finally we could come over the crisis.
